- 3.0 was the original.

- 3.1 equals 3.0 with a small jumper hack (one pin of a chip (U209)
- disconnected, and two others bridged), plus an upgrade to the revision of
- a surface mounted (ie not generally a DIY job) chip. The chip is U209
- revision -01 to -02.

- 3.2 equals 3.1, but with an even later version of U209 (-03).

- Basically, the problems with the earlier versions were principally to do
- with DMA. Sometimes, DMA would lock the bus, and not return control to
- the CPU, leaving it in a wait state. Revision 3.1 of the A3640 is fine in
- general, but 3.2 makes it absolutely perfect.
